The question of whether a natural cure for breast cancer is possible, is somewhat controversial. Mainstream medicine will try to assure you that it is a very risky path to take, but then again, a cynical look at the number of jobs that are created and the billions that are made from chemotherapy, surgery and radiation treatments, leaves one wondering whether there isn’t just a little bit of self interest behind the claim.
As for chemotherapy, the success rate is very poor and the side effects are rather “nauseating” to contemplate! Not only so, but it only has a 2.1 percent, 5 year survival rate. I don’t know about you, but I don’t find that very encouraging.
Then we have the mastectomy. Just cut the whole thing off and be done with it! Some women are so disturbed about contracting breast cancer that they even go to such lengths – and often at a very young age.
But did you know that according to 40 year cancer researcher, Dr Hardin B. Jones, women who refuse conventional treatments (surgery, chemotherapy and radiation) actually live four times longer than women who accept these procedures!
So let’s investigate whether a natural cure for breast cancer is possible – and what you can do if you’re faced with this potentially life threatening condition.
Your Natural Cure for Breast Cancer
1. Baking Soda and Maple Syrup
At first sight, this might seem all too good to be true, partly because it’s so cheap to administer and partly because of other things that you may have read about sweet things like corn syrup and sugar.
So let’s take a look at the theory behind this natural cure for breast cancer.
First, we’ll define a few things. You’ll often read the term “pH” when referring to the pH balance of any substance. In connection with this, you’ll usually read the terms acidic or alkaline and whether something is too much one way or the other – thus upsetting the balance.
So let’s dig a little deeper:
The term pH literally means “potential for hydrogen”. In short, a hydrogenated environment is acidic, whereas an oxygenated environment, is alkaline. The higher the pH level, the more oxygenated the environment and consequently, the more “potential for hydrogen” exists. Blood pH levels range from 0 to 14, so a level of 7.0 is neutral while anything above that, is more oxygenated and alkaline than acidic.
Now here’s the important part – Dr. Otto Warburg in his Nobel Winning research found that cancer cells cannot survive in a pH environment of 7.0 or greater. In other words, the less hydrogrenated (acidic) and more oxygenated your cells become, the less chance that cancer cells have for survival.
Research conducted at the University of Arizona, department of Pharmacology supports the theory that Baking Soda holds promise as a Natural Treatment for Breast Cancer. Their research demonstrated that oral intake of baking soda (NaHCO3) selectively increased the pH of tumors and significantly reduced spread of metastatic breast cancer in mice. They concluded, “…the dramatic effect of bicarbonate therapy on the formation of breast cancer metastases in this model system warrants further investigation.”
Another doctor and oncologist, Dr Simoncini from Italy, found that once cancer has taken hold, a pH of at least 8.0 is required to kill it. His method is to inject a solution of sodium bicarbonate directly into arteries which connect directly with the cancer affected area. Dr Simoncini believes that cancer is caused by the “collateral damage” from our immune system’s attempts to eliminate fungus growth from within our cells.
So now we’ve established that in order for this natural cure for breast cancer to work, we need to elevate the pH levels in the region where the cancer is growing, to around 8.5 as quickly as possible.
If you already have breast cancer and try to increase your pH levels too slowly, the cancer may grow instead of reduce. This is because cancer grows faster at 6.5 than it does at 5.5. You need the 8.5 pH level to kill it.
Now here’s where the baking soda comes in. Make sure it’s baking soda (sodium bi-carbonate) and not baking powder, that you buy. Bi-carb soda (baking soda) when taken in correct doses, will elevate your pH level to the desired alkalinity factor very quickly.
Let me introduce you to Jim Kelmun, a man who has been able to consistently cure people of all types of cancers over the past 30 years. Kelmun once said, “There’s not a tumor on God’s green earth that can’t be licked with a little baking soda and maple syrup!”
The maple syrup in the formula (make sure it’s the real deal and not “maple flavored syrup”), is designed to attract the cancer cells because they like to feed on glucose. In fact, cancer cells consume 15 times more glucose than normal healthy cells. So the cancer cells come to feed on the glucose rich maple syrup, but in the process, receive a lethal dose of bi-carb soda. The baking soda gets into the cancerous cells and alkalizes them, raises their pH level to a number they can’t tolerate and before you know it – it’s bye bye cancer!
This is why sodium bi-carbonate and maple syrup is one natural cure for breast cancer that you should try first up. It’s not only cheap, but pleasant to administer.
Here’s what you do:
Mix together 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 1½ to 2 teaspoons of maple syrup on a large spoon. Take this on an empty stomach with one full glass of clean, filtered water. Do this twice a day for the first week, then increase to three times daily after that. Continue for 4-6 weeks before resting. You may then repeat the protocol once again after a 4 week rest period. You need the 4 week rest period because prolonged high pH levels are not good for your health.
It’s also crucial that you do not do any physical activity (not even walking if you can help it) for at least 40 minutes after taking your baking soda/maple syrup mixture. This prevents your body from using up the sugars in the maple syrup for energy. This way, they get completely taken in by the cancerous cells. This is the logic behind having your last dose before going to bed. Be sure to test your pH level every day. You want it to spike up to level 8.5 on the pH scale, for at least 7 days.
If you prefer, you can use black strap molasses or manuka honey instead of maple syrup. Both of these are also rich in glucose and will do the same job. Avoid harmful substitutes such as corn syrup and other refined sugar-laden sweeteners. In fact, all other sugars should be eliminated from your diet.
2. Enjoy Your Green Tea
It may, or may not, be co-incidence, that the Japanese have the lowest rates of cancer on the planet – and they also drink green tea every day. So what is it about green tea that makes it such a great natural cure for breast cancer? The answer is, that it contains one of the most powerful antioxidants known to man. These antioxidants, known as catechins, or EGCG’s, are 100 times more powerful at scavenging and neutralizing free radicals in the body than vitamin C and vitamin E.
In case you didn’t already know, free radicals damage our cells and DNA and are one of the major causes of cancer.
In a study published in 1998, Japanese researchers investigated the effects of drinking green tea on the progression of breast cancer. The study involved 472 patients with stage I, II, and III breast cancer. The results showed that increased consumption of green tea was linked to a decrease in the spread of breast cancer in pre-menopausal women. In a follow-up study, the researchers found that increased consumption of green tea was correlated with decreased recurrence of stage I and II breast cancer.
So how did green tea come up on the scientific radar? Epidemiologists suggested a link between green tea and a lower risk of breast cancer after noticing that the risk of breast cancer in Japanese women who moved to the United States and adopted an American diet quickly rose from the very low risk for women in Japan to the much higher risk of an average American woman.
Green tea inhibits the formation of cancer-causing agents in the stomach, including nitrosamines. In vitro studies also indicate that it inhibits the growth of mammary cancer cell lines. The polyphenols in green tea reduce the effects of estrogen in the body. Estrogen stimulates the growth of breast, ovarian and uterine cancer cells. The anti-cancer properties of green tea include being an immune stimulant, inhibiting platelet adhesion and possibly metastasis.
So if you believe you’re that high risk of breast cancer, then you should consider adding a daily dose, or three, of green tea to your diet. While you’re at it, eliminate cancer-causing chemicals from your food intake and home environment, add garlic, broccoli, trace minerals, vitamin D and fish oils, include plenty of fresh plant-based foods in your diet and avoid processed foods.
3. Fish Oil Supplements for Prevention
According to a 2010 study in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre in Seattle, Washington, taking fish oil supplements may reduce breast cancer risk. The study involved 35,016 older women with no history of breast cancer. Those who took fish oil supplements regularly had a 32% reduced risk of contracting invasive ductal breast cancer, compared with those who did not.
Fish oil contains the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which have been well documented for their incredibly strong anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer benefits. Typical Western diets are far too low in omega 3 fats and far too high in omega 6 fats. This can promote inflammation, depression and increase the risk of cancer and heart disease. The average person gets nowhere near enough omega 3 fat in their diet.
Omega 3 fats help to reduce the risk of all types of cancer, heart attacks, strokes, arthritis, depression and countless other ailments. The average fish oil capsules only contain 120mg of DHA; therefore you would be required to take 15 regular fish oil capsules to obtain the dose used in the 2010 study. However, you can find substantially stronger capsules on the market, and most liquid fish oil preparations are stronger than capsules.
You can also get your omega-3 from plant based sources such as flax seed oil, but scientists at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, published their findings that omega-3 fatty acids derived from fish oil may be around eight times more effective for halting the development of aggressive breast cancer tumors than those from plant-based sources.
So the best type of oils to take are a combination of fish oil and cod liver oil. This way, you get your essential fatty acids along with receiving extra vitamin D. In addition, you can also eat tuna, salmon, cod or sardines (if you like them) every day as well for extra omega 3’s.
Now here’s the bottom line. For fish oil supplements to be effective as part of your natural cure for breast cancer regimen, you’ll need to consume a minimum 10,000mg each day. Anything less will simply not work well enough. So choose products with the highest concentration of omega-3.
Every year across the world, approximately 1.3 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer. In the last 25 years there has been a 30 percent increase in the incidence of breast cancer in Western nations. It is the most feared disease for the majority of women.
