I suspect that skin cancer natural remedies might be a popular topic. Why? Because it’s an unfortunate fact that incidents of skin cancer are reported more than all the other forms of cancer combined.
There are now more than 3.5 million non-melanoma skin cancer cases diagnosed every year in the United States alone, bringing numbers well into epidemic proportions.
But there is hope!
New research is revealing that a ground-breaking natural substance may have the ability to cure non-melanoma skin cancers. Some of it has been formulated into a commercially marketed cream, but you can also make it yourself. More on this later.
Pharmaceutical companies and the medical industry will confidently assert that topical chemo creams and surgery are your only real choices. The chemo creams often don’t work but can cause ugly, painful side effects. Removing skin cancer tumors surgically often ends with tumors resurfacing sooner or later. Surgeries can leave ugly scars or, depending on the location of cancer, deformities. This alone makes skin cancer natural remedies much more appealing.
What Causes Skin Cancer Symptoms?
First of all, exposure to the sun does NOT cause skin cancer. The sun is in fact, one of the most important elements for a healthy life.
Studies, like one published in the British Journal of Dermatology have already disproved this theory, as it has been discovered that most skin cancers did not develop from areas, or freckles, created by sun exposure. They also theorized that an increasing number of physicians misdiagnose benign lesions for stage 1 melanoma.
Secondly, we all need vitamin D to live, and regular full-body sun exposure is the healthiest way to make sure our vitamin D levels are optimized!
Third, according to the Environmental Working Group “Every major public health authority …. has concluded that the available data does not support the assertion that sunscreens alone reduce the rate of skin cancer.”
In fact, many sunscreens are filled with toxic chemicals that have been linked to skin cancer. Even the best sunscreens pose certain risks. So if the sunscreen does not protect against cancer, then what does?
With the surge in numerous types of cancer, could it be that the changes in our nutrition, diet or environmental factors could be the real culprit? For example, since the 1930’s skin cancer incidents have increased by 1800 percent!
In our modern world, we have witnessed the mass production of foods and the birth of insecticides. Whether by adding chemical preservatives, genetically enhancing, using pesticides or unhealthy farming practices, our food isn’t what it used to be.
We also are surrounded by many more toxins in our food and in our environment, along with chemicals in our air (pesticides, herbicides), skincare, hair products, and toothpaste.
Not only so, but we are eating foods loaded with added sugar and processed foods that our bodies were never meant to digest. Your body can’t manufacture most of the minerals and vitamins that it needs. It has to get them from what you eat.
All this begins to take its toll when our body becomes toxic and full of free radicals. We become inflamed and acidic (i.e. low pH levels) – and this is the optimal environment for cancer cells.
So, having said all that, let’s look at some of the best natural remedies for skin cancer.
Skin Cancer Natural Remedies
Frankincense oil has taken the research world by storm. It has been used for thousands of years and is one of the rarest natural healing agents on the planet. Several (major) clinical studies have been recently published proving its ability to help combat various cancers, including breast, bladder, stomach, pancreatic, and skin tumors.
There are 17 active agents in most frankincense species and researchers have set out to determine exactly which ones target which type of tumors. This is wonderful news for many people who until now, have been stuck with traditional cancer treatments, as it could prove to greatly reduce skin cancer symptoms.
Frankincense could hold the key for a long term cancer cure!
So what’s so special about frankincense that gives it so much anti-cancer prowess, especially for skin cancer? Here are some of the properties in frankincense oil that make it so potent:
Anti-inflammatory: Frankincense oil is rich in two special compounds called terpenes and boswellic acid, which not only have potent anti-inflammatory qualities but also eradicate cancerous cells at the onset of their development. Inflammation is a common characteristic in all cancers and the elimination of inflammation could mean the elimination of cancer.
Analgesic : The analgesic properties in the frankincense oil help to alleviate pain faced by cancer patients, and those undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.
Anti-oxidant: Anti-oxidants are very important compounds found in frankincense oil, which can help neutralize free radical damage, reduce oxidative stress, and stimulate the growth of new healthy tissues.
Cicatrisant: Frankincense is a natural cicatrisant, which means it promotes the regeneration and renewal of new healthy cells and repairs damaged cells. It also helps prevent scarring.
The effectiveness of frankincense oil lies in its ability to separate the nucleus from the cytoplasm in cancer cells. It’s like separating the brain from the body – disrupting its ability to communicate internally, which in turn, stops them from reproducing corrupted DNA codes.

Here’s what to do:
First, the important stuff. In order for frankincense essential oil to be effective, you need a carrier oil to dilute the potency of the essential oil so that it doesn’t irritate your skin. It also helps the frankincense essential oil to penetrate the skin. Why? Because essential oils are naturally prone to quick evaporation whereas carrier oils are not.
Just take 5 drops of 100% pure frankincense oil (Boswellia serrata) and combine with about 1 teaspoon of organic eggplant extract cream or tincture (see below). You may also blend in 2-3 drops of other essential oils such as cedar or lavender to create your own soothing BCC skin cancer treatment. Store the mixture in an airtight container for re-use and apply it on the affected area twice a day or as needed.
Alternatively, if you don’t have the eggplant extract cream, you should mix 5 drops of frankincense oil with about 1/4 teaspoon of a carrier oil such as organic coconut oil.
2. Eggplant Extract Cream
This is the one I mentioned briefly at the beginning of this article. It is a relatively new remedy, known as BEC5 and has developed from an Australian remedy for treating skin lesions on farm animals. It uses the phytonutrients extracted from eggplants and is commercially available to anyone online. Clinical trials and anecdotal testimonies confirmed BEC5’s efficacy and safety on basal cell and squamous cell cancers.
Two Skin Cancer Case Studies Show Amazing Results with Eggplant-Extract Cream
The leading researcher in this area today is Dr. Bill E. Cham. His latest study was recently published in the International Journal of Clinical Medicine. The paper includes two impressive case reports of 60-something men who were suffering from large basal cell carcinoma (BCC) or squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), which had plagued them for years.
The results upon treatment with a cream formulation of BEC5 (eggplant extract) twice a day are astounding:
In the first case, treatment with the eggplant-extract cream resulted in a rapid break down of the tumor. After two weeks, the lesion was reduced to about half its original size, and after 14 weeks the cancer was clinically eliminated with no scar tissue formation. Even the hairs had regrown where the tumor was originally.
In the second case, after six weeks of treatment with eggplant-extract cream the large skin cancer lesion appeared “cleaner” and some of the cancerous tissue had been replaced with normal tissue. In another three weeks, the lesion was much smaller, and more normal tissue was apparent. After a total of 14 weeks, the lesion was completely eliminated with no scar tissue present.
BEC5 Eggplant Extract has been used on more than 80,000 patients and kills only cancerous cells, leaving healthy cells alone. Unfortunately, simply eating eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, or similar veggies, while beneficial, will not induce this same effect because the active components are not able to effectively penetrate your cells.
However, when we add the additional component of glycosides, this makes all the difference. Glycosides are molecules with various simple sugars attached to them that can latch on to receptors found on skin cancer cells. Normal healthy cells don’t have these receptors, so they are left alone. Eggplant contains two components that are lethal to cancer cells – solasonine and solamargine.
On their own, solasonine and solamargine can’t penetrate cancer cells (or any cells for that matter) but with the addition of glycosides, they can. One glycoside in particular, called rhamnose, selectively latches onto receptors present only in skin cancer cell membranes. These receptors then unlock the door into the cancer cells where the solasonine and solamargine go to work, destroying critical cancer cell components called lysosomes.
Here’s a link to a YouTube video where you can watch an interview with Dr Jonathan V Wright about Dr Cham’s eggplant for skin cancer research.

How to make and use the homemade eggplant remedy
As already noted, you can buy the Curaderm BEC5 product commercially online but as you may have guessed, it isn’t cheap (currently costs around US$144 for 20ml). For this reason, you may prefer to make it yourself.
Here’s how to do it.
Get a medium-sized eggplant and either puree it in a blender, or cut it into small pieces. Put that into a glass jar and then fill it up with either white vinegar or organic apple cider vinegar with ‘the mother’ apple. Place the jar into the refrigerator for three days but shake the jar at least once daily. After around three days with the vinegar, the liquid should turn to a brownish-gold color. This indicates that it’s ready to use.
Apple cider vinegar is already a similar color so you won’t be able to tell visually like you can when using white vinegar, so just remember the ‘three days’ rule. Once it is ready, if you wish, you can strain the liquid out and use it as a tincture.
Apply it directly to the tumor with a cotton swab or makeup removal pad for at least 2 hours each day, or alternatively, secure the soaked cotton onto the tumor with tape. Treatment may take a couple of weeks or more. Both commercial BEC5 cream and the homemade version also work on warts and other unhealthy skin conditions.
The main difference between the commercial BEC5 cream and the above home-made version is the level of concentration. The BEC5 cream also contains acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) added to help penetrate the tissue. It is not recommended for use on your lips because the skin is very thin there and the cream version may burn. The home-made version is milder and better suited for any areas where your skin is thin layered.
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is nutrient-rich, containing potassium and a variety of beneficial enzymes. These nutrients help your body regenerate soft tissue. ACV also aids in alkalizing the body, so your system is capable of naturally fighting cancer. You can effectively implement this treatment as both a topical application and an oral supplement.
Swab the affected area with ACV daily, or for more intensive treatment, soak a cotton pad with ACV and leave it on the affected area until dry. In addition to this, drink a tonic of 1-2 tablespoons of ACV diluted in 8 ounces of distilled water at least once a day.
Skin Cancer Natural Remedies – Lifestyle Recommendations
1. Remove as many toxins from your environment as possible. Use a filter for your water, use natural or organic cleaning products, and switch to non-chemical beauty products (especially avoid sodium laurel sulfate, propylene glycol, etc.).
2. Avoid foods that cancers love. Since cancer thrives in an acidic and toxic environment, it is important to remove any foods that increase inflammation in the body. Remove processed foods, refined cooking oils, sugars (corn syrup & artificial sweeteners), fast food and avoid consuming foods with a high Omega-6 ratio.
Avoid foods such as corn-fed beef, corn and soy products, gluten, trans fats, fried foods, deli meats or foods that have any added preservatives or nitrates.
Replace the above with good, wholesome foods, including plenty of healthy vegetables, grass-fed meat, eggs, wild-caught fish, nuts & seeds (although it is best to soak your seeds/nuts to ease digestion) and healthy fats!
Avocado, cold-pressed olive oil, coconut oil, ghee or clarified butter are all great sources of healing fats for your body.
And when you shop, buy antioxidant-rich foods such as berries (blackberries, blueberries, goji berries, etc.), pecans, walnuts, artichoke hearts, cloves, acai berries, cocoa (in moderation) and garlic.
3. Supplements – include Vitamin D3 and spend time daily in the sun.
Also, take Pancreatic (Proteolytic) Enzymes. When taken between meals, they promote a healthy pancreas and produce protease (a protein-digesting enzyme). This enzyme is released into your bloodstream to break down scar tissue and help fight disease.
Nourish your gut with soil-based and food-based probiotics – 80 percent of your immune system is in your gut! Most probiotic pills are useless, as the culture is destroyed by stomach acid before it reaches the intestines.
Selenium has been found to reduce the risk of death from skin cancer by 50 percent.
Turmeric has been in the spotlight lately as a natural cancer cure. Several studies on cancer cells proved that turmeric, being a curcumin, is effective at helping to destroy cancer cells and prevent further cancer growth.
